The new business district of Jiulong covers Yangjiaping business district, Shiqiaopu business district and Shiyang Road business avenue, an area of about 6 square kilometers, making it the largest business district in Chongqing. New business district high starting point planning
Yangjiaping business district is one of the five traditional business districts in Chongqing, which originated from Yangjiaping pedestrian business district "Kaijie" in 2003, It is located in the center of Yangjiaping and covers an area of 0.22 square kilometers. Yangjiu Road, Tuanjie Road, Changjiang Road and Yangshi Road are connected to form a "one ring and five vertical" pattern. Over the past ten years, the business district has expanded from the north to the south, east to the west, and its area has expanded to nearly 3 square kilometers.
The Shiqiaopu business district is located at the junction of Jiulongpo District, Shapingba District, and Yuzhong District. It is surrounded by urban rail lines such as rail line 1, line 5 and the ring road and was the earliest digital region in Chongqing. In 2014, the concept of the "Shiqiaopu Business District" was proposed. The traditional Shiqiaopu Business District is composed of multiple IT digital stores and office buildings, which have been expanded year by year and the format of the business has improved, covering an area of approximately 2.2 square kilometers.
In 2019, the district party committee and the district government took a long-term view and proposed the construction of the "Jiulong New Business District". The scope of the new business district includes Yangjiaping business district, Shiqiaopu business district and Shiyang Road business avenue. It covers an area of about 6 square kilometers and is the largest business district in the city. In the next step, the new business district will highlight the characteristics of the new economy, new business formats, and new life, highlight the characteristics of the digital economy and digital business district, and highlight the characteristics of the new business districts of Yangjiaping and Shiqiaopu’s “sister business districts”, and promote the integrated development of the two major business districts creates the "first business district" in the main city.
High standard construction of new business district
During the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, in order to accelerate the improvement of the infrastructure construction of the business district and promote the high-quality improvement of the business district city, the Yangjiaping and Shiqiaopu business districts implemented infrastructure projects such as Jiulong Gate, key building lighting, and comprehensive urban environmental improvement, the total investment is about 20 billion yuan.
At present, the “upgraded version” of the Yangjiaping business district is underway. The Jiulong Tower and Meibao Park have been demolished. The Jiulongmen, Heping Park, Zhengpingkou, Binxin Century City and other old communities have been reconstructed, and rail transit has been optimized and improved. With the optimization of perfect rail transit line 18 Yangjiaping station entrance plan, the implementation of the optimization and renovation project of the entrance and exit of Yangjiaping underground shopping mall, has further improved the urban functions, and the urban organic renewal of the Minzhu Village area and the Tiema Group area has been accelerated.
As one of the “five key investment projects” in the district’s “five key focus actions”, the quality improvement of the Shiqiaopu business district has upgraded and reconstructed a number of infrastructure facilities such as the E-sports Avenue of Stars, and completed the Yugao Park Quality Improvement Project, Chongqing Digital. The construction of urban underground passages and other projects is building the night economy atmosphere improvement project of the new Jiulong business district at 9 hubs including Yangjiaping Pedestrian Street, Zhongdi Plaza and Yixin Horizon Plaza, and speeding up the renovation project of the Beer Style Street and Shixin Road. In the next step, the new business district will continue to accelerate the organic renewal of the city, improve the slow-moving system of the business district, and form a "double-circle interaction".
High-quality development of new business districts
After years of development, the Jiulong New Commercial District has basically formed a multi-level, multi-category, and multi-featured commercial pattern. In terms of modern commerce, it has a national five-star shopping centre and the largest area of Mixc in the southwest. It has settled in 31 top international brands such as Hermes. It is the area with the highest concentration of top international brands in Chongqing, attracting new retail leader Hema Fresh Enterprises.
There are a large number of new landmarks in the business district-Jiulongmen, Jiulongyin, Jiulongquan and "China's most beautiful bookstore" Zhongshuge, as well as the first cave museum settlement in the country-Chongqing Jianchuan Museum, the world's largest piano museum, Huangjueping Piano Museum, and the Jiulong Agarwood Museum, one of the three major agarwood museums in China. At present, it is also working hard to build the "Jiulong Military Port" ("Navy Museum Scenic Area"), and plans to build the 166 ship museum, naval history theme museum, lighthouse museum and island reef museum. Among them, the Navy’s retired 166 ship has arrived in the main city of Chongqing, and it is planned to open to the construction terminal in the commercial district in the middle of this year. At the same time, the plan will also introduce more historically significant military ships such as submarines and frigates to build the country's first military characteristic museum in the main city business district. The upgrading of the Shiqiaopu business district has accelerated, and a number of large-scale commercial buildings such as Renyue Tiandi, Jiangxia·Xingguanghui and ASUS Chaochuang City have been gathered.
