Leaders of CQIPA Visited British Consulate General in Chongqing

On October 21, 2021, Mr. Tang Yong, Director of Foreign Investment and Foreign Affairs Department of Chongqing Municipal Commerce Commission (CCC), Mr. Zhang Shiqiao, Deputy Director of Chongqing Investment Promotion Association (CQIPA), managers from Changshou Economic Development Zone and Jiang Xiaobai Alcohol Group, separately, visited the British Consulate General in Chongqing and had an in-depth communication with Mr. Ma Ruijie, Commercial Consul, Ms. Chen Yu, Director of Commercial Department and the colleagues from the Consulate General on deepening cooperation areas and exploring new ways of cooperation.   

Consul Ma Ruijie introduced in detail the basic situation of the Consulate General and the business activities to be held by the Consulate in 2021. Director Tang Yong introduced the functions and responsibilities of Chongqing Municipal Commerce Commission and invited the Consulate General to participate in the major foreign affairs events to be held in 2022, and actively create favorable conditions for the development of British enterprises in Chongqing. At the same time, also as the Director of CQIPA, Tang Yong introduced the functions and responsibilities of CQIPA and put forward relevant suggestions for the development of British companies in Chongqing. In order to promote the cooperation between enterprises of the two countries to a higher level, he expressed that CQIPA is willing to fully utilize its own platform resources to provide efficient services for British companies interested in developing in Chongqing. 

During the meeting, both sides held key discussions in the fields of education, life sciences and infrastructure industries. At the same time, both sides discussed the list of future activities and cooperation list. Consul Ma Ruijie expressed that he would actively participate in the major foreign affairs activities of Chongqing in the coming 2022, so that more British enterprises could enter China and specifically Western China. CQIPA will actively play its advantages, strengthen the cultural exchange between the two sides and attract more British enterprises to Chongqing.

Ms. Chen Xin, from Changshou Economic and Trade Development Zone, and Mr. Zhang Yang, Assistant President of Jiang Xiaobai Alcohol Group, briefly communicated with Consul Ma Ruijie about their respective situations.
