Chongqing Launches the First Full Time Scheduled China-Europe Express

The route now sees a train from Duisburg and a train from Chongqing leaving at the same time, effectively doubling services.
The trains are numbered and scheduled on each rail section, and border crossings have been optimised. The trains have priority for loading, unloading and coupling in China and along the route, increasing efficiency.
The changes increase efficiency and the increased connectivity should make Chongqing more attravtive as an investment destination. Overall operational efficiency is expected to increase by more than 30% compared to ordinary trains."
This will help Chongqing integrate into the global industrial and supply chain system by improving logistics efficiency and stability, strengthening economic and trade ties with the Eurasian region. This should attract more international capital, technology, and talent inflows, and help deliver the plan to create a modern manufacturing cluster system. It will also promote industrial cooperation and complementarity between Chongqing and the "Belt and Road" countries.
