On August 22nd, the news conference for the 10th "Maker China" Automotive Remanufacturing SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, themed "Gathering Momentum for Automotive Remanufacturing and a New Future of Economic Cooperation," was held in Tongnan.



The competition finals will be held on August 28th at Chongqing Electric Power College  (Tongnan Campus). Twenty projects from the Enterprise Group, such as Chongqing Beisiyuan New Energy, and fifteen projects from the Startup Group, including "Equipment for Separating Cathode Active Materials from Retired Lithium-ion Batteries," will compete through live presentations. Ultimately, first, second, third-place winners, and excellence awards will be selected for both the Enterprise Group and the Startup Group.

Measures include establishing a "2+7+N" enterprise-government service mechanism, compiling a list of 257 enterprise-benefiting policies to help companies secure government bond funds; advancing industrial land reform; organizing financial matchmaking; deepening school-enterprise cooperation; optimizing the "Yu Kuai Ban" (Easy Chongqing) platform; and innovating regulatory methods to create a favorable business environment.

By 2026, Tongnan will provide 500 exclusive internship positions within the automotive remanufacturing industry, host specialized recruitment fairs every Wednesday, creating over 1,000 new job positions, and offer entrepreneurial guaranteed loans and employment absorption subsidies. Implementing plans like 'Fujiang River Craftsmen', training 4,000 person-times. Those passing assessments will be prioritized for employment at leading enterprises such as Hongxi Auto and Beisiyuan, with starting salaries approximately 15% higher than traditional industries.Eligible enterprises and individuals will be included in the 'New Chongqing Talent' and 'Tongnan Elite' service programs, enjoying 73 services including housing support and children's education.
Simultaneously, leveraging the 'Smart Digital Employment' platform and implementing talent subsidies will ensure the public tangibly benefits from the industrial dividends.

Focusing on precise investment attraction to strengthen and extend the industrial chain, the High-tech Zone has attracted companies like Hongxi Auto and seen projects like Lens and Beisiyuan bolster the battery recycling base. Providing comprehensive factor support, assisting enterprises in securing funding, and advancing infrastructure construction. Hosting industry seminars to promote enterprises' advantageous technologies. Establishing an automotive aftermarket exhibition hall and an industry-education consortium to foster talent cultivation and standard formulation.  Supporting the development of platforms like Hongxi Auto Nest and Beisiyuan's Battery Lifecycle Management Platform to build a unified digital network, achieving full-process digital operation and enhancing industrial efficiency.



"Maker China," initiated by the Cybersecurity Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) in 2016, is a national innovation and entrepreneurship competition that has become a "wind vane" for Chinese innovation and entrepreneurship. This year's competition specifically focuses on new directions, models, and business formats within the automotive remanufacturing industry, highlighting areas such as vehicle dismantling & parts remanufacturing, new energy vehicle battery technology & recycling, and intelligent connected vehicle systems.  Since its official launch in May this year, the competition has attracted 183 projects from 22 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the central government across China. Both the number of participating regions and projects have significantly increased compared to the previous session.

Tongnan has now hosted this competition for two consecutive sessions. Currently, Tongnan is making every effort to build "China's Premier Automotive Aftermarket." It possesses the largest-scale vehicle dismantling and parts remanufacturing industry in the region. Tongnan has gathered over 20 automotive aftermarket enterprises, including Chenzhi Anqi, Hongxi Auto, and Beisiyuan. The district has an annual capacity to recycle over 150,000 end-of-life vehicles. It boasts an annual remanufacturing capacity of 200,000 units (sets) of parts. It also has an annual capacity for 220,000 tons of power battery echelon utilization and regeneration.
