Chongqing and Vietnam Join Hands to Build an "Industry–Finance–Trade" Platform
The China–Vietnam Joint Statement issued in April 2025 confirmed the extension of the "Two Corridors and One Economic Circle" initiative to Chongqing, creating a significant historic opportunity for cooperation between Chongqing and Vietnam.
On 9 June, a thematic symposium on building the Chongqing–Vietnam Industry–Finance–Trade Platform was held. Participants included the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce, the CCPIT Chongqing Sub-Council, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Chongqing, the Vietnam Trade Promotion Office in Chongqing, and Su Hai Group.
Building the Chongqing–Vietnam Industry–Finance–Trade Platform is a key initiative for deepening industrial cooperation. Guided by the principles of "government guidance and market operation", the platform focuses on four pillars: trade promotion, investment services, financial and legal services, and talent development. It aims to establish a comprehensive service system covering every stage of enterprises' international expansion, helping Chongqing's competitive industries enter the Vietnamese market while supporting Vietnam in enhancing its manufacturing capacity and supply chain resilience, thereby delivering mutual benefit and shared development. Participants agreed to accelerate the platform's development through targeted, incremental progress, with the aim of delivering a series of practical cooperation outcomes.
