Huangjueping Graffiti Art Street

Huangjueping Graffiti Art Street is next to Huangjueping Campus of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in Jiulongpo District. It is the world’s largest graffiti art cluster, stretching 1.25 kilometers long. Over 50,000 square meters of building exterior walls are fully covered by creative graffiti, making it a highly recognizable trendy art internet-famous landmark of Chongqing.

Residential buildings, shops, walls and staircases along the whole street serve as natural giant canvases. Teachers and students from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and artists from home and abroad create artworks here, covering diverse styles including Bayu folk customs, Chinese trend animation, abstract art and vintage street life. The bright, bold colors and creative designs make every shot a trendy masterpiece.

Hidden deep in the block is the classic internet-famous spot Transport Teahouse. Wooden tables, chairs and enamel teacups fully preserve the style of old Chongqing teahouses from last century. Order a cup of covered tea, watch local elders chat over tea and art students sketch, and immerse yourself in the authentic street life of mountain city.

After visiting the graffiti street, you can drop by 501 Art Warehouse and the vintage Railway No.4 Village, and taste authentic Sichuan-Chongqing snacks such as bean curd rice and roasted sweet potato sheets. Experience street art, old Chongqing culture and local delicacies all in one trip.
