It focuses on smart container yards, cold chain warehouses, frozen goods processing, regular warehouses, office buildings, supporting facilities, and related ancillary facilities.
It creates a New Western Land-sea Corridor operation centre, an international maritime container sharing and allocation centre, an import and export cold chain distribution centre, and an import and export general cargo distribution centre. It also plans to deliver seven major functions including an international container storage and transportation centre, import and export cold chain storage and processing, display trading, bulk goods distribution, spot and futures delivery, supply chain services, and financial service platforms.
The Chongqing Waterless Port of the New Western Land-sea Corridor is the first heavy asset investment project of the New Western Land-sea Corridor Company, and it is also a landmark project for relevant provinces, regions, and cities to jointly deliver the roject. When completed, the project will become a pilot demonstration project for the construction of dry ports that integrate into the “Belt and Road” and improve the connectivity level of countries along the New Western Land-sea Corridor. Meanwhile, it will improve the comprehensive service capacity of the corridor and promote the further integration of provinces, districts and cities in western China into the building of the corridor.
