Bishan
The mountain's bright white stones which were famous for being bright as jade.
Bishan is named after the bi in nearby Chongbi Mountain, referring to the mountain’s bright white stones which were famous for being bright as jade.
Situated to the west of Chongqing’s main urban area. Covering 915 sqkm, it has a permanent population of 763,000. As a key city in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, it is a leading area for Chongqing’s urban development and a core part of the Western China (Chongqing) Science City, as well as being an important manufacturing base.
Confucian Temple
Chongqing’s only well preserved Confucian Temple, this was built during the Shaoxi period of the Southern Song Dynasty, and is over 800 years old.

Xiuhu National Wetland Park
Named after Guo Moruo's paean for "verdant Hills, and elegant Lakes", this has a planned area of 433.14 hectares and a wetland area of 132.35 hectares.

Guanyin Tang National Wetland Park
This was the first national-level wetland park in Chongqing, covering an area of 40.5 hectares with lakes and rivers making up more than a quarter of this space.
