Launching of Chengdu Chongqing RCEP Cross Border Trade Center

On August 18, the launching ceremony of the Chengdu Chongqing RCEP Cross Border Trade Center (hereinafter referred to as the"Cross BorderTrade Center") and the Chengdu Chongqing RCEP Cross Border Trade Forum were held in the Chongqing Lianglu Guoyuan Port Comprehensive Bonded Zone, marking a new gathering place for crossborder trade in the Chongqing Lianglu Guoyuan Port Comprehensive Bonded Zone, cultivating new growth for foreign trade with new formats and models, and taking new steps in building a demonstration window for inland open economy.

The Cross BorderTrade Center is in the core area of the China (Chongqing) Free Trade Pilot Zone and the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity, and the Comprehensive Bonded Zone. Based on the general import and export trade and crossborder e-commerce industry clusters in the Comprehensive Bonded Zone, it gathers the main elements of foreign trade formats and creates a characteristic crossborder trade functional platform for the manufacturing industry belt of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle. The center is based on the Jiangbei Cuntan Water Port Comprehensive Service Building located in the core area of Cuntan International New City. It is mainly divided into six office areas: business supporting area, logistics technology companies, traditional trade companies, crossborder e-commerce and cross-border service trade companies, financial service companies, and administrative units.

The signing ceremony was also held. Twelve companies, including IDG Capital Investment Consulting (Beijing) Co., Ltd., Microsoft E-commerce, Guangzhou Shein International Import and Export Co., Ltd., Chongqing Airlines Co., Ltd., Sichuan New Western Land-sea Corridor Company, Chengdu Equatorial Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., and Chongqing Dazu Hardware Chamber of Commerce, officially signed contracts with the Cross Border Trade Center and discussed future development.

The Chengdu Chongqing RCEP Cross Border Trade Center will further promote the deepening and implementation of the building of the Chengdu Chongqing Economic Circle and the New Western Land-sea Corridor, create a gateway to Chongqing's inland open economy, fully leverage the agglomeration and driving effects of Chongqing's cross border trade, and further assist the high-quality development of Chongqing's foreign trade.

Since its establishment in 2008, Chongqing Lianglu Guoyuan Port Comprehensive Bonded Zone (formerly known as Chongqing Lianglu Cuntan Bonded Port Zone) has become an important carrier of crossborder trade in Chongqing, as well as an important area for crossborder e-commerce pilot projects and general import and export trade.
