Belarus
From June 29 to July 3, 2023, the "Chongqing’s Global Trade" Chongqing Export Commodity (Belarus) Exhibition was held at the China-Belarus Industrial Park in Minsk. This was the first overseas exhibition for the new brand. Twenty four Chongqing companies participated, with a signed on-site amount exceeding 20 million USD.
Thailand
In August 2023, the Chongqing Export Commodity (Thailand) Exhibition of Chongqing’s Global Trade was held at the the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok. The "Chongqing’s Global Trade" exhibition made its debut in ASEAN countries, achieving a signed trade amount of 50 million USD and reaching more than 30 potential customers. Chongqing companies also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Chiang Mai Chamber of Commerce.
Indonesia
From November 2 to November 4, the “Chongqing’s Global Trade” Chongqing Export Commodity (Indonesia) Exhibition was held at the Jakarta International Convention and Exhibition Center, along with the China (Chongqing) - Indonesia Economic and Trade Conference. The event attracted nearly 100 companies, 83 from Indonesia. Participating companies were mainly in fields such as mechanical equipment, automotive steering, precision instruments, electronic products, circuit integration, and network technology. Chongqing Municipal Commerce Commission, Chongqing Landai Transmission Machinery, and Chongqing Longrun Automotive Steering Gears, each made special presentations. The event is expected to generate 18 million USD.
Vietnam
From December 7 to 9, the “Chongqing’s Global Trade” Chongqing Hardware Tools (Vietnam) Exhibition was held at the SECC in Ho Chi Minh City. The event was the first time in recent years that hardware and tool products organised by Chongqing Municipal Commerce Commission showed in ASEAN countries. At the exhibition, participating Chongqing companies met approximately 800 customers worldwide, achieving an intended transaction amount of 30 million USD.
Colombia
On November 3, the event was held at the Corferias Exhibition Center in Bogota, its first stop in South America. The event aims to upgrade the bilateral relationship into a strategic partnership, which could further enhance mutual understanding and cooperation. Around 30 Chongqing companies participated, covering fields such as automobiles, motorcycles and components, general machinery, mechanical and electrical products. Seres Auto made its debut in Colombia with its main products, and Qingling Motors participated in the exhibition.
Established in 2023, Chongqing's trade delegation strategy, known as the Hundreds of delegations, thousands of companies strategy, will unify all future international promotion events under the brand name: Chongqing Global Trade.
In Chongqing Global Trade overseas exhibitions, Chongqing companies are able to accurately connect with the global market, learn about new demand, and explore new foreign markets. The strategy has led more Chongqing companies to go abroad. The rebranding aims to facilitate this trend even more in the future, and by organising these events, the government and relevant departments provide a full chain of sourcing, helping to open new markets.
Targeting emerging markets and expanding trade network, the exhibitions have enabled many Chongqing companies to accelerate their layout of international marketing networks, supporting them to build international marketing public service platforms and overseas warehouses that integrate exhibition sales, matchmaking, logistics, after-sales and other services through cooperation or independently, helping companies stabilise orders and expand markets.
